VENUE POSTERS
Poster Design | Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop | Personal Project
PROJECT BRIEF
Throughout my time living in the Chicago, I’ve attended many concerts. And I found myself getting bored of the promotional designs I was seeing.
I took it upon myself to create engaging designs for the music venues I love so much. I got my inspiration straight from the concert venue names, giving both designs an interesting perspective.
SALT SHED
This Salt Shed poster was inspired by the Morton salt that was sitting on my kitchen counter. Creating this larger-than-life salt container gives an interesting perspective to the design. The pouring of the salt adds movement to the poster, almost making it feel alive.
I took countless pictures of my hand holding the salt container, trying to get the perfect angle and perspective. Unfortunately, I only have one picture left from the process.
METRO
For this poster, I wanted to incorporate more aspects of Chicago. I decided to center this concept around the iconic Metra train line. I wanted to train to be almost coming at the viewer, giving another interesting perspective just like the Salt Shed poster. I also added train map overlay.
More coming soon…
